Often, these powers are hidden by the structures and constraints of school. How can we work, as educators, to unleash students' hidden talents and dreams? This session will engage you in interactive activities, games, and conversations to explore the world of student-driven learning.","Description":"What does it take to move the power in the classroom from the teacher to the student? We also discuss what student empowerment looks like in the classroom and share amongst ourselves what works and what hasn\u2019t.","Link":["http:\/\/www.kristenswanson.org","http:\/\/hadleyjf.com\/"],"Audience":["Elementary School"],"Practice":"We will use a series of interactive activities (analyzing student work in a gallery walk, evaluating engagement, etc.) to warm up the group. Then we will use conversational protocols to make meaning of both the research and our experiences.
